The beginning of the week was spent helping my best friend move. If any of you have ever moved in your life you’d know that it’s not an easy task by any means, lots of little things to think about besides just moving furniture and stuff. I’m just glad that I was able to help out a little with this crazy schedule that the band and I have. Don’t ever get me wrong though, we love what we do and we are all having a blast. It’s almost like this sleep thing is becoming overrated and I’m totally living off the rush I get from the music, and I guess the reserved energy from being young. Earlier in the week I had a writing session at Curb wit h my buddy Kyle Jacobs and Billy Montana. We wrote another great song called “You And Me And A Lifetime”. Kyle and I went for lunch prior to writing that day at a Sushi restaurant. I love sushi and can never seem to get enough of it. Actually Shelley, Mark and myself  always try and find a good sushi restaraunt in whatever town we happen to be in. Getting back to Kyle and I going for sushi though, it was cool cause we had a chance to chat and catch up a little, since we don’t get to see each other that often. In case you guys don’t already know it Kyle is a great writer and is best known for co-writing Garth Brooks big hit “More than a memory”. He wanted me to fill him in on stories of the road and how things have been going and vise versa. I think the sushi played a little roll in helping us think of ly rics as well. I’m sure you’ve heard that sushi has something in it that actually helps stimulate the brain. Unfortunately I had to leave early from the writing session with them because I had another commitment doing an interview with (Country Music Across America) that afternoon. The interview lasted probably 15 minutes and went pretty smooth and then after that I just headed back to my loft and had nothing to do until midnight that night. Midnight rolled around all to soon and we all met down stairs and loaded up the bus and were on our way to Mobile, Alabama. We had a full band show the following evening in Mobile and were happy with the outcome of the show! We hopped on the bus after that and were of f to Ocala, Fla. next. Once in Ocala I didn’t have anything until the show later that night so the band and I had some good ole down time. The show took place downtown on the square and we performed in front of a few hundred dedicated K-Country fans! After the show I signed autographs for an hour or so and then headed across the street where we met up with Big Red from K-Country and had a late dinner. It was great getting to hang with Big Red, he seemed like a great guy! We went back to the bus after that and stayed the night in Ocala. The next morning we headed out bright and early from Ocala to West Palm Beach Florida. We were about an hour and a half down the road when we realized that we we re short one guy, lol .Yup, there was definitely no Puff on the bus. After worrying for quite some time Shelley eventually called the hotel and located Puff daddy, well needless to say Mark was in quite a panic. Luckily Barry’s sister and husband live in Ocala so they drove Mark the 200 miles, and made it just in time for sound check. We had to bug Mark a little and found time to make a pit stop at Walmart to get him a few little “welcome Home” gifts. We picked him up a “Cars” alarm clock, a postcard that we all signed, and book called “The Pokey Little Puppy”. He got a good laugh out of that and so did we. It was a neat show the way it was set up because the stage that we played on was literal ly a foot from the hotel swimming pool and people gather around the pool to hear us play. I started to be a little daredevilish and jump in the pool after our set was over, but decided against it. It was pretty warm in South Florida, but very nice at the same time. Barry’s nephew and friend came to the show so afterward we all hung out by the bus and talked until the early morning hours. The bus stayed in the parking lot of the hotel that night and we pulled out early the next morning for Ft. Myers, Florida. Today in Ft. Myers I did a T.V interview with Music Mix USA, and then this evening the band and I played a 20 minute set for the Gator Country Lakeside Bash. Ashton Shepherd, Kellie Pickler and Sugarland were on after me so I stayed back and watched most of their shows. It was a good evening full entertainment, we played to about 8,000 people. We started off this past week in Raleigh ,NC and  then flew back home to Nashville. It
felt a little weird to us because we left Raleigh at 9 something in the morning
and landed at 9 something that same morning in Nashville. There are so many
different time changes when you travel as much as the band and I do that your body

just never seems to get used to it. When we got home we didn’t have anything to do the rest of the day so I
went out and washed my truck and took a little drive. That same evening my
manager had a Halloween party at his loft and a bunch of people came over and
got into the whole dress up for Halloween mode, it was cool! Chad and I got
kidnapped at the party and turned into pirates. We had everything from black eye liner
to eye patches. I don’t know how you women do it
with that eye liner stuff but that’s a bugger to get off, and I was still trying
to get it completely off that following day. I wrote with Doug Johnson the
following day and I believe that we wrote a hit song. It was a real honor to write with Doug, and he’s really a great dude. 

“What It Takes” my new single was also released the same day that I wrote with Doug and the response at
radio was amazing! “What It Takes” got 15 adds it’s first week which is an
amazing first week!! Thank you so much to my team of people for all their
tremendous work and dedication and also to all the radio stations that have
added my songs, your support is so much appreciated. After writing with Doug
that day I raced home and immediately played the new song for my manager and band because
I was so excited about it. We named the song “Invisible” and I can’t wait
for y’all to eventually hear it . I had the pleasure of sleeping in till
about 5:30 am the following day and had a 6 am phone interview with non other
then my hometown station CFCW in Edmonton. They’ve always been very supportive
towards me and my music and it felt good being able to chat with them again.
Following that interview I had another inter view scheduled for 10 am so I had a
little window of opportunity to sleep some more before I did that interview. I
had the rest of that day off until 5 pm when we had to meet the bus downstairs
to take us to the Grand Ole Opry house. Yes, we had the opportunity again for
the third time to play the Opry stage and what a thrill again that was. It
never fails I always get the excited nervous feeling before walking out on that
stage, in fact it’s a complete rush of adrenalin that I feed off of when I’m out there. The
performance was a magical moment again for Chad, Mark and myself and yet another
experience we will never forget! The bus took us all home from the Opry that
night and I packed up my suitcase for the trip the next day, called my
mom and dad to say goodnight and went straight to bed after that. I woke up at
6:30am that next morning and Mark and I met Shelley downstairs at 7:15

 and headed to the airport to catch a Southwest flight to Raleigh NC. I want
to put a plug out there for Southwest, that airline kicks butt and we love
flying with them! It never fails, they always treat their passengers with
respect, and they’re always so professional, they really make flying a pleasure.

 Since the start of the radio tour we’ve flown so much with Southwest that I’ve already got one free
rountrip ticket and am not far away from getting another one. You gotta love those
nice surprises when they happen, especially when the price of everything has gone
up. We arrived into Raleigh and I had a few hours to rest before making a
Cricket in store appearance. The Cricket visit went well and Mark and I played 5
songs, I signed autographs and even gave away a guitar to guy that had his name
drawn out of the list of names that we had. I think he was a little shocked and
surprised and I do believe that we made his day. After the visit to Cricket we
headed back to the hotel and got ready to go to dinner. It was a fairly early
dinner and I had no plans afterwards so I went back to my room and played lazy.

We flew out of Raleigh the next morning for Vegas where the band and I
played the House Of Blues at Mandalay Bay. We had a great time there and I was
very happy with the show and the turnout! I had a visit with KWNR earlier in
the day before the show and was put on air and asked to perform a few songs
live. It’s cool because I remembered going to KWNR earlier near the beginning
of my radio tour, so it was real nice to see familiar people. From there we
went back to the hotel and I had a tiny bit of down time while the band left for
sound check. Before the show I went to dinner with Cary and Bill from KWNR and
we all just hung out and chatted. We then made our way over to the House of
Blues and I did an hour show to a great crowd. I went back up
to my room after that and called it a night shortly after. I hope y’all had a
great Halloween last night!
The band and I did a show in Tucson Arizona at the Maverick club o n Halloween night.

It was a dance hall type setting and we played a 75 minute set. It was kinda cool cause
most everyone dressed up being it was Halloween and were up dancing to most of
our songs. The band and I threw around the thought of dressing up as well but
then decided at the last minute maybe not. At one point in the set I had
mentioned to the crowd that the reason we didn’t dress up was because we were
scary enough already. This year for Halloween I went as a country singer, LOL. 
Anyhow the show went off well and afterwards I signed some autographs and
headed back to the hotel to try and get a few hours of sleep. Shelley and I had
a 9:45 flight this morning leaving out of Tucson and the rest of the band left
on a later flight. We all ended up in Nashville today and will
be home till Monday night at midnight and then we will be on the road
again! As much as I love the traveling and meeting new people I must say there
is nothing like going home. Well, I hope y’all have a great week ahead and I’ll

Starting off the week I wrote with my producer Keith Follese and his wife
Adrienne and composed a really beautiful song called (It All Came Back). Luckliy
with the Mac computer technology in todays world we were able to lay down a
rough version of the song using garage band and I played it 10 times over and
over on my drive home. Before I left there house though I recorded a song in
their studio located on their property. Actually it’s the same studio where I recorded
the vocals to my album that will be coming out in a few months! After a 
few takes we wrapped up the song and both Keith and I were proud of
the takes we got. From Keiths I ran a few errands and then went home. To my surprise when I got home I found out that I would get
the chance to cruise around town in a Corvette!! My manager had to take his
truck into the dealership that day and in return they sent him home in a black
Corvette. I’m kinda under the impression that our friends at Carl Black are
hinting at us to buy a Corvette wink wink ;)… definitely one day in the future
guys. I went to dinner and spent time with family and friends that night as
well and just chilled and caught up on some much needed time with them. After
getting home that night I just relaxed and stuffed my face with some gooey warm
brownies and a hot chocolate. The following morning I got up, got myself
ready and I headed over to Curb records where I wrote a smash with Seth Jones
and Sam Tinnesz called (The Last Thing On Your Mind)! I was so excited about
the song that I kept pushing repeat in the Vette when I left wanting to hear it
over and over again! I had driv en the black Corvette that morning to the
session and it had to be back that same day to the dealership so after my
session I dropped it off at Carl Black and got Lawrence’s truck for him. I went
back to the loft after that and then went across the street to a mexican restaurant
where I ordered take out and brought it back to the loft. That night at around
6:30 pm Lawrence and I went to a Socan publishing event down on West end Ave and
mingled for about an hour and half. I saw some familiar faces that I haven’t
seen in quite sometime and met a lot of new people as well so it was a good
evening out. Little Joe took us to and from there in one of his Limos and like
always was very kind and helpful to us. The next morning I woke up at 5 am and
shelley picked me up out front at 5:45 am and we headed to the Nashville airport
to catch our flight to New Orleans. Once we arrived in New Orleans we got a
rental vehicle and drove to Lafayet te where we had some radio visits that day
and a show that night. The show was in a small little intimate club very
personal and the band and I had a great time! That night after the show we got
on the bus and headed to the hotel to get some sleep before the early morning
ahead. Early that next morning Shelley, Barry, Mark, and myself were off again to
the Lafayette airport to catch a flight out to Dallas. After dropping us off
Barry went on  to catch his flight out of New Orleans that same day. If I
can rewind a little bit in saying that it actually felt a little haunting to me
a few times as Shelley and I drove through New Orleans trying to imagine the
devistation that Hurricane Katrina had brought to that place 3 years earlier, it
was just kind of an uneasy thought to me. My prayers definitely still go out to
all the families who lost loved ones or even their homes. On a happier note
though we had an awesome show that night in Lafayette. The people we got to meet
in Lafayette were awesome towards us and it kinda felt like a family welcoming.
I also want to add that that night before the show we ate at an incredible
restaurant called Shucks, and I tried so many things that I would’ve never
imagined myself trying even two years ago. I tried everything from Crocodile to raw and fried oysters and many other delicious entrees all of it was really
really good! Over and above the food being so awesome though the hospitality
was also top notch. The restaurant and the good folks that work there get 2
thumbs up in my book! Thank you David and Susie the owners of Shucks for being
so awesome to all of us and for coming out to our show that evening. After
Lafayette like I had mentioned we flew to Dallas and then had another connecting
flight to Madison ,Wisconsin, the land of cheese curds mmm so awesome!! That
next morning to follow we all had a chance to sleep in a little bit and it felt
like a luxury lol. We went and visited radio that morning in Madison and then
drove from there to Milwaukee for a full band show playing at Buckheads that
night and it was a great experience for all of us. I was mentioning to
Shelley that this being out on the road is a ton of fun and I know some of you
must be thinking how it could be when we’re so busy, but it really is enjoyable.
Sure it gets tiring and you get wore out at the best of times but for me I’m
living on the rush and excitement of it all and I’m truely thankful for the
blessings I’ve been given. I really think the fact that we have a change of
scenery pretty much everyday and the fact that we get to meet new people
everywhere we go has a lot to do with the enjoyment of it as well. It keeps it
interesting and fresh for the band and I. We stayed the night in Milwaukee and
bright and early the next morning at 5:45 am Shelley Mark and myself left for
the Milwakee airport to catch yet another flight to Washington ,DC. Well
actually we flew into Baltimore and rented a vehicle and drove to Washington DC.
It was a beautiful drive. I loved looking out the window at all the trees that
had changed colors and starting to lose their leaves, it’s just so comforting to see.
Once we got to Washington we had a few hours to kill before Mark and I did an
acoustic performance at 3 pm this afternoon. This function was for WMCQ’s Fall
festival and besides the fact that it was a little cold outside when we played,
all and all it was a good turnout and we played for a half hour. Now that we are
done the show the rest of the evening is off to relax and in my case get some

Adam performs “Crazy Days” at the KMLE Class of ‘08.

Hey Phoenix, how ya’ll doin? I’ve been doing well, staying busy as usual, but
loving it! This past week, Barry my road manager and I flew up to BC Canada to
do a show. It was for Country 107.1 out of Abbotsford BC. I haven’t been up to
Canada in the past 5 months, and I was given such a warm welcome from the fans
at the event. The event itself was a very personal show held in a 300 seater
place, and it was awsome because the place was full!!! I went up on stage
expecting to do a 45 minute set, but ended up doing probably over an hour and a half.. The
audience there was just so welcoming to me that I couldn’t leave, so I just
kept singing, haha.. It actually got to a point where it became a request hour,
and I made many attempts at some of my older songs even though I hadn’t played t hem
in ages, and the audience ate that right up and were singing along to pretty
much every word. You had to have been there!! We were up in Canada for just 2
days, and the day we flew out being Thursday, we had to be ready and in the
Lobby for 5 am… ouch hah, once again not much sleep . I’m home in Nashville
now, and I made a stop at William Morris Agency today, and played for a bunch of
the staff there. They are my new booking agency, and I must say that I am
completely thrilled to be part of that family as well!!.. Other than that, I
got a bunch of laundry done this afternoon, and now I’m gonna go and see the
Dark Night movie for the second time. The only difference is, I’m gonna see it in
the IMAX!! That should be pretty cool! Tomorrow I’ll be taking part in the
Monster Truck Rally here in Nashville, and I’ll be doing an acoustic show
with my friends “The Harters”. The Harters are a new family group, and they are
incredible!! Well that’s all for this week wrapped up in a nut shell I will

Hey everyone, hope you’ve all been doing well.. I’m home here in Nashville as
of early this morning, we just arrived in from Orlando Florida! I did a couple
shows between Sarasota and Orlando during the weekend for Carl Black Chevrolet,
and the band and I had a great time!! Have any of you ever been to
Whataburger restaraunt? If you haven’t try and find one and go, because the burgers are
awesome!! We stopped at one on the way home last night and met up with some of
Barry’s (my road manager) family, and hung out for a little while. Then we were
back on the road headed North for Nashville! Everything since the move to Big
Machine Records has been going pretty well. It seems that more and more shows
have been coming in, which is good, and there are a lot of things in the works
for the near future! My mom and dad were in town all last week, and we had a
real nice visit for the time that we got to visit at least. I did a ton of
media interviews and TV interviews Monday and Tuesday of last week, some of
those interviews were with Jeff Foxworthy and Charlie Chase which was pretty
cool. I had Wednesday to spend with my parents which was
nice, so we fit in as much as we could in that one day to make up for the rest
of the time lol.. Other than that, I’ve just been going with the flow.. When
you are a new artist in the States like I am, you don’t always know what’s gonna
happen next so the best thing I’ve found, is to just go with the flow.. I like
to look at the schedule sometimes though just to get an idea of where I’ll be,
so I know for myself.. Today I have the day off, so I’m just gonna soak it in,
maybe go and grab a bite somewhere and then go to a movie later.. I don’t get a
chance to go to movies all that often, and thats something that I really enjoy
doing, so I thought it would be a good opportunity tonight being that I have the
day off That’s pretty much all I’ve been up to, and I will continue to

Hey guys, how are you doing? I wish I could tell you that I was home in my loft

writing this weekly journal to you, but instead I am  here in the

waiting on my delayed flight to

here, I think it’s a great place, but I am  praying that the flight makes it out

tonight because I have full press days in

Tuesday. Oh well stuff happens and that’s the chance you have to take when

there’s bad weather conditions and you have to fly. On another note, I had the

privilege and honour to sing for a half hour and do the National Anthem at the

Redding Phillies game today, it was awesome!!! That was the second time now that

I’ve performed the anthem live, it felt good and at the same time relieving

to have done it again!! The crowd was very welcoming, as well as all the

staff and organizers of the game:)

Another exciting thing that happened within

the last couple of days was, my parents flew to

totally surprised me… I haven’t seen them for 2 months or more, so it

was a real nice surprise.. They will be staying in Nashville for a week, and

although I have stuff going on while they’re here, its still nice to come home at the

end of the day knowing that they’re here:)

 The Big Machine record deal is going so great, a lot of exciting things in the works! And I was excited because we were able to hire Shelley who was one of my record reps from Midas Records onto our team again… She is an awesome person to have around and that made me very happy:)!  Unfortunately in the business stuff happens, and when I moved to Big Machine Records, the promotions team from Midas were let go.. It was hard

to see that happen, but unfortunately it does happen, and I pray that all those

wonderful people I worked with at Midas are filled with many more opportunities.

I’m very excited to be with Big Machine as I had mentioned in my last journal I

know they are the best, and it is going to be exciting to see what they can do.  I’m just thrilled to be a part of the family! Thank you everyone for staying tuned every week to these journals , and I will talk to you next week… God Bless ag)
