Adam’s crazy schedule in December 2008

December 8th, 2008 by adam-gregory-kmle

MondayMe Mark and Robin flew to San Jose this evening where we met back up Shelley. It was great to see her in the airport, kinda felt like the whole family reunion type thing. We got ourselves a rental vehicle and had what we call our SUSHI night . Everytime you put us three together you know for sure there is gonna be a sushi feast somewhere. After dinner we went back to the hotel and got a good nights sleep that was much needed. We want to be ready to wow the Itunes folks tomorrow morning so I’m gonna sign off now and get this so called beauty sleep, God only knows I need it lol. Talk to yall later.TuesdayThis morning we started the day in San Jose doing an acoustic set for Itunes. They were having end of the year meetings and a few different artist had the opportunity to perform for the gang there. Afterwards we got on a plane to Riverside California where we met back up with the band and did a show for KFRG that night at the Brandin Iron Saloon. It was a great show and again we had a blast! Some friends from the Academy of Country music even came out from LA so it was nice to get to hang with them a little before the show. Some friends of mine from Canada, The Road Hammers were nice enough to do the show with us and the crowd loved them! That night after the show we stayed the night and the next morning we were off to LA.< SPAN style=”mso-spacerun: yes”> Here we come Hollywood!! WednesdayToday Shelley, Mark and Myself along with Larry the Big Machine rep made a day trip into L.A. There Mark and I played acoustically a couple songs at the R&R building, which is the company that writes and prints The Billboard Magazines and is incharge of the R&R charts. Everybody there was nice and we have actually been trying to get a time together to get in there to meet them, so I’m glad we were given the opportunity today. After that we grabbed some lunch a Thai restaurant. I had a rice with chicken dish which was actually really good! From there we made the 3 hour trip back to Bakersfield where we’re gonna play at the Crystal Palace tonight!!! I’m really excited to be playing ther. I remember coming through Bakersfield a number of months ago and at that t ime was given a tour of the palace as well.ThursdayWe drove all through the night last night from Bakersfield to Reno Nevada. We were part of special event, The Bull’s first Jinglebell bash and it really was nice turnout! Outback steakhouse took care of us and about 80 winners and while they were eating we were their half hour entertainment. I was able to joke with and just really feel comfortable with the crowd there. Brad and Derek from the Bull were so awesome, they came on the bus and we all chatted for a bit before the show. After we got through singing Outback took care of the bands meal as well and it was quite the feast. Now I’m back on the bus and I have the rest of the day to just relax and get some stuff done. I think we’re going to d inner tonight with Derek from the station, so that will be cool. Not sure what we have planned, I think Larry the Big Machine rep put the bug in Dereks ear that we liked to bowl, so we may do that I don’t know. Anyways I hope you all have a great evening and I will talk to you soon. God Bless!FridayFriday morning I went by the The Bull in Reno and did an on air interview. Mark and I played a Christmas song on air ( Blue Christmas) and it went over very well. Then we hit the road to San Jose and headed to KRTY, where I played in the board room to a bunch of the staff there. Nate and Tina were just a few in the audience and they are very supportive towards my music! From there we made our way over to the venue for soundcheck and a little bit of down time before the show. Club Rodeo was awesome and fed all of us dinner! The show was awesome and I remembered playing there before opening up for Josh Gracin so it was nice to be back again! I want to mention that a very dedicated fan of the band, Christina, flew down from Canada to attend the show. This is now her second time coming down to see us and she told us that she spent $500 on an airline ticket, so the least that we could do is make her feel welcome and get her into the show. It was real nice to see a familiar face from back home and to top it off she bought us $100 Starbucks gift card… We love our Starbucks!! After the show we all had to pack up what we need cause the bus was dead heading it all the way to New York and we all stayed the night there in San Jose at the hotel. SaturdayWoke up early this morning and drove to Santa Maria for an acoustic show with Sunny Country! It was held in the Hyundai parking lot and played there to a nice little crowd. We did a 45 minute acoustic set and everyone there seemed to really enjoy it and so did we! Sunny Country at that show drew for a winner to come to dinner with us that night and a lucky winner in the front row along with her daughter won the draw. After the set we had a little bit of down time for about an hour and half, so we used that time and took a drive to Pismo Beach and walked around enjoying the scenery from pier. Shelley and I got a little hungry to so we both got hold me over corndogs and I got a hot Chocolate while she got a coke. I pretty much inh aled my corndog to the point of almost choking so I had to steal the coke out of her hand and wash down the corndog that was stuck in my throat… not to fun! From there we drove back to the hotel to pick up Puff daddy who you would know as Mark of the band and we made our way to the radio station to meet JT. We followed JT from the station to a famous restaurant called the Hitching Post! Many many celebrities have dined here, one of my favorites being John Candy. It was an amazing dinner and an amazing time being able to visit with JT and Nikki and the two winners Heidi and Shianne. I would definitely like to go back to that place and not to mention they have the best artichokes in the world!! We visited for a good little while and then hit the road run ning to LA where we stayed the night. The morning we got up and caught a flight home to Nashville!! I also want to mention that on this flight I became a part time flight attendant. It was a coincindence that the flight attendants names were Adam and Rob so Robin and I were asked to hand out peanuts and crackers. In return I got plastic Southwest wings that I earned along with a coloring book and drink coupons which I will more then likely give aways as stocking stuffers at Christmas to some of my band members! I hope you’ve all had a great week and I will fill you in all next as to what I’m doing. Thankyou and God Bless!ag)

Adam’s Thanksgiving Week Blog

Sun. Nov. 23

Had a great time in Columbia, SC today. I had the honor of being part of a fundraiser put on by WWNU, which was held at the Ozzies Country Island pub. There were a bunch of us that performed there today, Sara Buxton, Darryl Worley, and the Can You Duet husband and wife trio Joey and Rory and it was just an all round great turnout. After all of us got done singing a table was set up in front of the stage where we all signed autographs for about 200-300  people. We’re staying tonight here in Columbia and then leaving out early in the morning for College Station, TX.

Mon. Nov. 24

Woke up early this morning in Columbia SC and before driving to Charlotte SC, we made a stop in at the radio station  WWNU, where I had an interview with Tyler Ryan. We played a song on air and had a great visit. From there we drove to Charlotte, NC where we hopped on a plane to College Station, Tx. We arrived safe and sound here in College Station earlier today and we had the day off. It was a nice little luxury this morning to be able to sleep in till 10am ,  we don’t get those chances very often . We left the hotel here in College Station at 11 this morning and headed over to the Cricket store for another instore visit. I think I made a couple more fans there which as an artist is what I’m always shooting for. After our Cricket visit we had a bit of lunch at Jason’s Deli and then from there we made our way to the radio station. I was interviewed by yet another Adam on air and following that he video taped a live acoustic performance of my song “Then She Cried” which they will use on their website and You tube. After the station visit we headed back to the hotel and I don’t have to leave for the venue now until 9:45pm. Tonight our show will be held at Schotzi’s which is said to be one of the many College club hangouts and we go on at 11pm or shortly after. It’s gonna be an intimate setting where Mark and I will play 45 minutes of songs acoustically so it should be a lot of fun! I hope you all have a great evening and God Bless!

 Thurs. Nov. 25

The show in College station the other night went well, not a huge crowd but the people that were there seemed to enjoy the show. There was a group of College people gathered in one area near the stage and I went and said my hellos to all of them and signed pictures. Last night the band and I were in Austin ,TX playing at Stubbs again. The last time we were there we were opening up for Gary Allan. The only difference was, this time we played inside the club instead of out and we were less a few thousand people, lol . The band and I have a really good attitude towards everything when we do shows , we play with the same dedication if there are 2,000 people or only 10 people, we are still gonna give it our all and put the same heart behind our shows. We just love to play and we’ve definitely been doing a lot of shows late ly and it’s been an awesome run so far. After the show we hung out and mingled in the club for a little bit and then Barry and I went back to the hotel while the bus went on to Denver. We stayed last night in Austin, Tx and this afternoon we flew out of there at 2 pm to Denver. The bus will meet us in Denver, but we just got word that they are still an hour out because they got caught up in some snow. Happy Thanksgiving to y’all, I hope you had good quality family time and were able to feast out as well. Barry and I made the best out of what we had to work with here in Denver, being that all the restaurants were closed we ended up finding a Burger King that was open. We starting to think that we were g onna go hungry on Thanksgiving and then there it was shining like a diamond in the rough… Burger King! Barry was funny, he said at one point, all that we need now is to resquest a burger with a feather hanging out of it and pretend that we’re having a big turkey dinner haha.. Those f ries tasted extra and I mean extra greasy tonight . The band should hopefully be here soon, they’ve been on the bus all day traveling to get here so I’m sure their gonna be tired. I hope y’all had a great evening and I’m gonna sign off now so goodnight to y’all. God Bless!

Sat Nov. 29

Yesterday I woke up at 9 am in Denver and met up with Barry and we headed to Ft. Collins, Co. to make an instore Cricket appearance. It was a nice turnout at the store and some dedicated fans drove a little ways to come and see me which was nice. Letty and her daughter Lindsey and their friend Melanie went above and beyond buying me a get well basket. Yes, I’ve managed to get sick again and not just me but a lot of the band are experiencing sicknesses right now as well. Shelley actually had to fly home because she got really sick and didn’t want to get us all sick as well but we still managed to anyway. We’ve gone through a lot of cold weather changes and I really think it was just a matter of time before we got sick. Need not worry though I’m taking lots of vitamins and drinking plenty of tea water. Last night in Denver we played at the Grizzly Rose, a world renowned club that a lot of artist have played at through the years. We did the show with the Eli Young Band which is out of Texas, and they put on a good show! We left the club just after 2 am on the bus and drove through the night and we are heading to Riverside, California now. It will be good for all of us to get some rest the next few days. We’ve got it down as just travel days so that’s good. Other then that I will update y’all as I go, take care and have a great day. God Bless!ag)

Sun. Dec. 30

We’re on day two now of our long travel to Riverside, California and we’ve covered a lot of land so far today in beautiful Arizona. It’s one thing traveling in a vehicle but ,when you can travel in a bus and look out and see the scenery all around through the windows of the bus it’s pretty cool! Our bus driver said that we should be arriving in to our destination of Riverside California at around 8 tonight. We’ve just been watching movies on the bus and just got through watching (Step Brothers) with will Ferrell, it was really funny. I hope you’ve all had a great week and weekend and have a great week ahead. God Bless!

Sushi, autographs, and “The Pokey Little Puppy”? Adam’s life this past week - Nov. 9

November 9th, 2008 by adam-gregory-kmle

The beginning of the week was spent helping my best friend move. If any of you have ever moved in your life you’d know that it’s not an easy task by any means, lots of little things to think about besides just moving furniture and stuff. I’m just glad that I was able to help out a little with this crazy schedule that the band and I have. Don’t ever get me wrong though, we love what we do and we are all having a blast. It’s almost like this sleep thing is becoming overrated and I’m totally living off the rush I get from the music, and I guess the reserved energy from being young. Earlier in the week I had a writing session at Curb wit h my buddy Kyle Jacobs and Billy Montana. We wrote another great song called “You And Me And A Lifetime”. Kyle and I went for lunch prior to writing that day at a Sushi restaurant. I love sushi and can never seem to get enough of it. Actually Shelley, Mark and myself  always try and find a good sushi restaraunt in whatever town we happen to be in. Getting back to Kyle and I going for sushi though, it was cool cause we had a chance to chat and catch up a little, since we don’t get to see each other that often. In case you guys don’t already know it Kyle is a great writer and is best known for co-writing Garth Brooks big hit “More than a memory”. He wanted me to fill him in on stories of the road and how things have been going and vise versa. I think the sushi played a little roll in helping us think of ly rics as well. I’m sure you’ve heard that sushi has something in it that actually helps stimulate the brain. Unfortunately I had to leave early from the writing session with them because I had another commitment doing an interview with (Country Music Across America) that afternoon. The interview lasted probably 15 minutes and went pretty smooth and then after that I just headed back to my loft and had nothing to do until midnight that night. Midnight rolled around all to soon and we all met down stairs and loaded up the bus and were on our way to Mobile, Alabama. We had a full band show the following evening in Mobile and were happy with the outcome of the show! We hopped on the bus after that and were of f to Ocala, Fla. next. Once in Ocala I didn’t have anything until the show later that night so the band and I had some good ole down time. The show took place downtown on the square and we performed in front of a few hundred dedicated K-Country fans! After the show I signed autographs for an hour or so and then headed across the street where we met up with Big Red from K-Country and had a late dinner. It was great getting to hang with Big Red, he seemed like a great guy! We went back to the bus after that and stayed the night in Ocala. The next morning we headed out bright and early from Ocala to West Palm Beach Florida. We were about an hour and a half down the road when we realized that we we re short one guy, lol .Yup, there was definitely no Puff on the bus. After worrying for quite some time Shelley eventually called the hotel and located Puff daddy, well needless to say Mark was in quite a panic. Luckily Barry’s sister and husband live in Ocala so they drove Mark the 200 miles, and made it just in time for sound check. We had to bug Mark a little and found time to make a pit stop at Walmart to get him a few little “welcome Home” gifts. We picked him up a “Cars” alarm clock, a postcard that we all signed, and book called “The Pokey Little Puppy”. He got a good laugh out of that and so did we. It was a neat show the way it was set up because the stage that we played on was literal ly a foot from the hotel swimming pool and people gather around the pool to hear us play. I started to be a little daredevilish and jump in the pool after our set was over, but decided against it. It was pretty warm in South Florida, but very nice at the same time. Barry’s nephew and friend came to the show so afterward we all hung out by the bus and talked until the early morning hours. The bus stayed in the parking lot of the hotel that night and we pulled out early the next morning for Ft. Myers, Florida. Today in Ft. Myers I did a T.V interview with Music Mix USA, and then this evening the band and I played a 20 minute set for the Gator Country Lakeside Bash. Ashton Shepherd, Kellie Pickler and Sugarland were on after me so I stayed back and watched most of their shows. It was a good evening full entertainment, we played to about 8,000 people. Thank you all for tuning in and reading my journals I appreciate it. God Bless!
